thought this jacket looked good, so I took a gamble and ordered it online. I compared my measurements to those provided by the seller and I was reasonably assured a Large would fit. I'm 5'10 and 170 pounds, but this coat hardly closed because the shoulders were cut so narrow. I would exchange for an XL if they had them, but they don't. It's a shame, because I really like this style of jacket.

One last thing to note, it may be difficult to tell in the photo, but the green material is not tweed, but wool.

This coat is beautiful and I love everything about it. I was disappointed the black was out of stock so I went with the charcoal, now I am SO glad I did because it looks amazing. I was worried because a lot of other reviews said it ran small. I took a chance and ordered the size I wear and was afraid it would be small, but if fit absolutely perfect. It's actually just a hair big in the shoulders, but nothing noticeable or bad. Anyone who says it runs small must be lying to themselves about the size they wear because I found it to be a perfect true to size fit. It's a very well made quality coat and the only issue I found at all was a couple of the buttons were very loose, but I tightened them up which took all of five minutes and now it's perfect. I would definitely recommend it.

I'm 6'-3" 210 lbs and I ordered a Large -> when the coat arrived, it was WAY too big. Fortunately the return policy is pretty easy to deal with so I just sent it back for a Medium.

The medium fits just right with exactly enough room for a warm layer beneath the coat, which is good because it isn't quite as warm as I thought it would be. With layering it will be plenty warm enough though, and this thing feels exceptionally tough, which is why I bought it.

Good value. The only way to get warmer is to get a thick down coat or ski-type gear, which is very expensive, and not nearly as sturdy as the Carhartt.

I purchased this coat for my 3 year old because it was a cold Fall and her normal Fall jacket wasn't cutting it. This coat came quickly and it was adorable right out of the package. It was a little big on her but she's very petite so I think if your child is average sized it would fit true to size. The absolute best thing about this coat is how easy it is to clean. If she gets anything on it, I can just throw it in the washer and it comes out looking brand new. I would purchase from this company again. They make really cute and warm coats for kids.

I got the 3X, which is my size in almost all the shirts I wear, and I like my shirts roomy and loose. This jacket was too snug in the arms and across the chest; order at least one size up.

This jacket is fantastic for the price of less than $40 delivered. The material, while not wool, looks exactly like wool (at least the grey version of this jacket does) and it's very smooth and not stiff at all. It isn't fleece, but a good, textured faux wool. The lining extends through the arms and is a dark black and purple scroll pattern, very subtle I think. Although it does not fit, at this price I am keeping it for when I can fit into it.

The buttons all need to be reinforced, so prepare to get out your sewing kit.
